Fort Lauderdale, Fl. – June 28, 2017 – IGY Marinas today announced that its Blue Haven Marina – Turks and Caicos has once again received its accreditation as a 5-Gold Anchor facility. Recognized by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) every three years, this prestigious distinction marks a milestone for IGY, as the Caribbean marina achieved the accolade in 2014.
“We could not be more excited to have maintained our 5-Gold Anchor status, as it is a true testament of the hard work and dedication to customer service that our team upholds at Blue Haven Marina,” said Adam Foster, General Manager of Blue Haven Marina. “We are humbled to have earned this distinction for the second time, and look forward to exceeding the expectations of our discerning global clientele.”
For more than 25 years, the 5-Gold Anchor award program has been auditing marinas worldwide and is recognized as a credible source for determining marina quality. Facilities are rated through a series of tests every three years in the following categories: The Marina Audit; Mystery Shops; and Berth Holders Questionnaires. All Gold Anchor candidates must meet industry standards and the highest ratings mean that the marina houses luxury facilities and upholds its customer service as a top priority.
“Blue Haven Marina has been an incredible asset to our portfolio, sharing the same vision of delivering exceptional guest experiences through high-quality services, amenities and customer relations,” said Tom Mukamal, CEO of IGY Marinas. “We are grateful to call the facility an IGY destination, and look forward to offering our global network of travelers with this award-winning marina in the Caribbean.”
As an IGY destination, Blue Haven Marina boasts 100 slips with 45 megayacht berths accommodating vessels in excess of 200 feet (61 meters) in length, as well as the electric requirements suitable to accommodate the world’s largest vessels. The marina also sits adjacent to Blue Haven Resort, which allows guests the opportunity to enjoy resort amenities, including a private beach; luxury spa; dining options; fitness center; business center and more. Blue Haven Marina is surrounded by the third largest barrier reef in the world, providing visitors with incredible deep sea fishing and unforgettable diving excursions.
Additionally, marina guests also have access to IGY’s Anchor Club Strategic Partners, which is one of the world’s leading large vessel support networks offering an array of services, including provisioning, crew training, health services and maritime travel.
